Ronda, Spain

On the way from Malaga to Seville, we stopped by the small town of Ronda for a few hours. We arrived before noon, and there weren’t many tourists at that hour, which gave us a nice break from the more touristy areas.

“Ronda is the place where to go, if you are planning to travel to Spain for a honeymoon or for being with a girlfriend. The whole city and its surroundings are a romantic set.… Nice promenades, good wine, excellent food, nothing to do…”

– Ernest Hemingway

The most famous sight of the town is the Puente Nuevo. It required a few minutes of walk downslope to see the usual sight as seen on postcards, but it was relaxing and refreshing as most tourists wouldn’t go on to that spot.
