Experienced with the rather scary situation downtown (with the fireworks aiming at people instead of the sky and smoke filling the square and streets), we chose a small hill overlooking the river this time. Turned out, people were playing wildly and it was smoky and a little bit dangerous too.
Ah well, it was a new year countdown.
Usually I’m able to sort of guess the agenda of the year, like, I’m going to get to the next year of my studies in the summer, if things go well. But this year, as I’m graduating, my future remains scarily unclear. This year will bring a lot of new experience, but also a tremendous amount of uncertainty, which to be honest, is extremely unnerving for me. I do hope that I will be pleasantly surprised this year, like I did in 2014 😉
Year’s end is neither an end nor a beginning but a going on, with all the wisdom that experience can instill in us. Cheers to a new year and another chance for us to get it right
Post in response to Weekly Photo Challenge: New
This year, cast away all the fears, all the pains, all the disappointments – We have a Savior who can “re-appoint us”! His mercy is new every morning, every minute we ask Him for it. Look to God. He is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above and beyond anything you could possibly imagine (see Ephesians 3:20). Expect Him to do great things in our lives this year, not because we deserve it, but because He is good! [Power Thoughts Devotional:365 daily inspiration for winning the battle of the mind]
If you happen to stumble upon my blog, and even more so if you’re a regular visitor, I’d like to say a very very very big THANK YOU and a very happy new year to you!
Not more than 1 year ago I decided to explore deeper into my hobby of shooting randomly wherever I go. Since then, I’ve learnt a lot, had fun and joy in photo-shooting and sharing this passion of mine with family, friends, and people online (mostly on Flickr and here on the blog). I thank God for this blessing – the opportunity to express through photography. I’m grateful that many of my precious memory in 2012 have been captured on photos and some of my photos have been pleasant in sight for some! I pray that the new year will bring with it new skills and experience in photography and growth in faith to me, and as well as to you!
May you have a very blessed 2013!
